• The Honourable Mr Justice Albert ('Albie') Sachs is a South African, renowned human rights and anti-apartheid activist and Justice of the South African Constitutional Court. Albie Sachs is known around the world as a courageous and committed defender of human rights. Nearly killed in 1988 after an assassination attempt by South African agents of the apartheid regime, Albie Sachs not only survived, he triumphed and never lost his passion for justice or for his country. Appointed in 1994 by President Nelson Mandela, Justice Sachs is a vital member of the South African Constitutional Court. Albie Sachs is also a prolific author of many books on human rights; one of his books 'The Jail Diary of Albie Sachs' was dramatised for the Royal Shakespeare Company and broadcast by the BBC.
• Professor Julia Häusermann MBE, Founder and President of Rights and Humanity and pioneer of “the human rights approach to development”, now adopted by many UN and national agencies. Her influential book ‘A Human Rights Approach to Development', was commissioned by the UK Government’s Department for International Development in 1997 in preparation of the then UK Government’s first White Paper on International Development. Prof. Hausermann advises on UN and governmental policies and has frequently acted as a senior policy consultant for international organisations, including the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), the World Health Organization (WHO), UNAIDS, the UN Development Programme (UNDP), the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the Commonwealth Secretariat and the Council of Europe. In 1995 Prof. Häusermann was invited to address the South African Constitutional Assembly, successfully advocating the incorporation of economic and social rights into the Constitution.
• Sister Jayanti, European Director of the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University. With over 40 years of experience of Raja Yoga meditation and its practical application in daily life. Her gentle voice and profound insights on spiritual solutions to everyday problems have touched the hearts of thousands around the world. Sister Jayanti continues to play an extremely pivotal role in assisting the co-ordination of the organisation and has been an Advisor to the Council for a Parliament of the World's Religions and Advisory Committee Member of the International Interfaith Centre and she is a member of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of Faiths.
• Honorable Charity Kaluki Ngilu, Kenya Minister of Water and Irrigation, formerly she was the Minister for Health. She is the Member of Parliament for Kitui Central and Chair of the Nile Council of Ministers (Nile-COM).
• Ms Baria Alamuddin, Editor of Media Services Syndicate, Foreign Editor of Al Hayat and has interviewed numerous heads of state including, King Hamad Bin Issa Alkhalifa, President Hosni Moubarak, King Hussain of Jordan, Prime Minister Tony Blair, President Bill Clinton, Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, President Fidel Castro, to name a few. President of the IAC (International Arab Charity) since 2004 and is a member of the advisory board of the Tallberg Forum in Sweden.
• Ms Shireen Said, Policy Advisor: Human Rights, Democratic Governance: Bureau for Development Policy, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). UNDP is the United Nations' global development network, an organization advocating for change and connecting countries to knowledge, experience and resources to help people build a better life. They are on the ground in 177 countries, working with them on their own solutions to global and national development challenges. As they develop local capacity, they draw on the people of UNDP and their wide range of partners.
• Mr Pierre Martinot-Lagarde: Special adviser for socio-religious affairs, Office of External Relations, International Labour Office (ILO). The International Labour Organization (ILO) is the only tripartite U.N. agency with government, employer, and worker representatives. This tripartite structure makes the ILO a unique forum in which the governments and the social partners of the economy of its 183 Member States can freely and openly debate and elaborate labour standards and policies.
• H.E. Ambassador Anja-Riitta Ketokoski-Rexed has been a worker in intercultural relations since 1966. After having been trained in the law faculty at Helsinki University, she joined the Finnish Foreign Ministry and has been working with European, Nordic and United Nations organisations (UNESCO, other specialized agencies, UN headquarters), OECD, Council of Europe, WIPO etc. Her academic work has been in the fields of economic and social relations, international law, human rights including women, governance and world trade. She has been active both as civil servant and as an NGO- and trade union representative. Her current position is in the Development Policy Department of the Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, working with the theme of the ‘meeting of cultures’.
• Mr John Morrison, Executive Director of Institute for Human Rights and Business. John Morrison has extensive experience working with leading companies on issues of corporate responsibility and human rights. He worked previously with The Body Shop International plc and led the Business Leaders Initiative on Human Rights from 2003 to 2009. He has also worked for a number of civil society and governmental organisations on issues of migration, human trafficking and forced labour.

• Ms Bianca Jagger, Founder and Chair, Bianca Jagger Human Rights Foundation; Council of Europe Goodwill Ambassador; Member of the Executive Director's Leadership Council of Amnesty International USA; Trustee, Amazon Charitable Trust.
• Dr Scilla Elworthy PhD, founded Peace Direct in 2002 to fund, promote and learn from peace-builders in conflict areas, and the Oxford Research Group in 1982 to develop effective dialogue between nuclear weapons policy-makers worldwide and their critics. Awarded the Niwano Peace Prize in 2003; three times nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. Adviser to Peter Gabriel, Desmond Tutu and Richard Branson in setting up ‘The Elders’; member of the World Future Council, author of numerous books, director of programmes for the World Peace Festival Berlin August 2011.
• Mr Lawrence Bloom, Executive Chairman of Bhairavi Energy, Senior Policy Advisor to the Board of Bell Pottinger, Deputy Chairman of Noble Cities plc, former Chairman of the Global Agenda Council on Urban Management at the World Economic Forum, Davos in 2008.
• Mr Simon Preston, Chairman of iammoving.com; Chairman 2009-10, International Board of Directors - Young Presidents’ Organization/World Presidents’ Organization, Former CEO of TISCALI (UK)
• Mr David Wasdell, Founding Director of the Unit for Research into Changing Institutions (URCHIN), which was registered in 1981 as a UK charitable trust. Since 1987 he has been the International Co-ordinator of the Meridian Programme. He specialises in consultancy-research with a wide range of institutions and organisations undergoing rapid change in conditions of low resource and high stress. For the last five years he has directed the Apollo-Gaia Project, a world-wide action-research initiative focussed on the feedback dynamics of the global climate system and the effective human response. He also led the work-package on feedback dynamics of coupled complex global systems for the Global System Dynamics and Policy Co-ordination Action of the European Commission
• Dr Duncan Green, currently Head of Research, Oxfam GB and author of 'From Poverty to Power'. Previously Policy Analyst on Trade and Globalization at CAFOD, the Catholic aid agency for England and Wales, was seconded from CAFOD to the UK government’s Department for International Development in 2004, as a Senior Policy Adviser on Trade and Development where he covered agricultural and non-agricultural trade in goods.
• Mr Vijay Mehta, Author of several books, Chair of Uniting for Peace, President of Mehta Centre and Founding Trustee of Fortune Forum Charity. The Sunday Times described him as a ‘longstanding activist for peace, development, human rights and the environment’, who along with his daughter, Renu Mehta, has set a precedent for striving to change the world. (The Sunday Times, 1 February 2009). Vijay Mehta’s new book “The Economics of Killing: How the West Fuels Wars and Poverty in the Developing World” will be published by Pluto Press in spring 2012. 
• Mr Graheme Broadbelt: currently part-time Director of Development at the business led think-tank, Tomorrow’s Company. Grahame has a degree in geology and qualifications in a range of business disciplines as well as coaching, training and leadership development experience and qualifications. Grahame is an expert designer and facilitator of group learning processes bringing to bear over 20 years experience in group dynamics and group based learning having studied with some of the world’s leading practitioners. Grahame is also a proven organisational leader with experience at CEO, MD, COO and Operations Director level across the private sector, voluntary and public sectors.
• Mr Ian Knowlson, Director of Selling Success. Ian has spent the last 27 years working in the commercial world of sales and has acquired a vast amount of experience working with large multi-nationals and more recently the UK Public and Not-for-Profit Sectors. In 2011, after becoming an NLP Practitioner, Ian set up Selling Success, with Dr Phil Jackson, providing Business Development and Sales consultancy, Sales Training and Coaching support. Ian and Phil are passionate about awakening individuals and organisations to their true potential and purpose. Currently Ian is working with Rights & Humanity to strengthen their commercial activities.  
• Dr Philip Jackson set up Selling Success with Mr Ian Knowlson, providing Business Development and Sales consultancy, Sales Training and Coaching support. Phil and Ian are passionate about awakening individuals and organisations to their true potential and purpose.
• Mr Roger Phillips: BBC Radio Merseyside Presenter, who has lived and worked on Merseyside since the early 1970s. Tackling issues that matter to Merseysiders, Roger's broadcasting abilities have been recognised on many occasions. He is the winner of countless awards, most notably the Gold Sony Award Winner for 'News And Talk Broadcaster Of The Year 2000', National Union Of Journalists Broadcaster Of The Year and BT's National Broadcaster Of the Year.
• Mr Felix Finkbeiner, (aged 13) founder of Plant-for-the-Planet. Felix was nine years old when he had the idea for Plant–for-the-Planet. It was when Felix’s teacher set the assignment to prepare a school report about the issue of climate change, that Felix was first inspired. While conducting his research he came across the story of Wangari Maathai, the Nobel Peace Prize Laureate from Kenya who had worked to plant over 30 million trees across Africa as part of her 'Green Belt Movement'. At the end of Felix's presentation he shared his vision that the children of the world could plant 1 million trees in every country on the Earth. Plant-for-the-Planet is now a Global children’s movement. At the UNEP Tunza Children and Youth Conference in Daejeon, South Korea in 2009, 100’s of children from 56 different countries committed themselves to join the initiative and work towards planting 1 million trees in their own countries. At present there are children participating in more than 93 countries around the world. Currently the children aim to plant a total of 1,000 billion trees around the world and insist that this is possible.
• Cllr Gary Millar: Full-time Labour Councillor and Cabinet member; Cabinet Lead for Enterprise and Tourism (and Culture) at Liverpool City Council. He has over 30 years experience in the cultural and business sectors. Gary is Trustee of St Georges Hall, Board Member of Stepclever (LEGI), is appointed representative at Brouhaha International, Chair of the Liverpool First Cultural Strategy Task Group (LSP) and member of the Merseyside Cultural Consortium (working with the Cultural leads of all 6 local councils).
• Mr Vincent Neate is a partner at KPMG and leads the Climate Change & Sustainability practices in KPMG Europe LLP and KPMG UK. His focus is on advising public and private sector clients in the UK with practical strategies where policy, finance and technology meet in the field of sustainabilty. Vincent describes himself as a philosopher, cunningly disguised as a Chartered Accountant and Businessman.
• Mr Robin Makin, Solicitor-Advocate, Managing Partner, E. Rex Makin & Co, Solicitors
• Professor Richard Wilkinson: has played a formative role in international research on the social determinants of health and on the societal effects of income inequality. He studied economic history at LSE before training in epidemiology. He is Professor Emeritus of Social Epidemiology at the University of Nottingham Medical School, Honorary Professor at UCL and a Visiting Professor at the University of York. Richard co-wrote The Spirit Level with Kate Pickett and is a co-founder of The Equality Trust.
• Ms Molly Harvey, Business Speaker, Corporate Educator, Author and Managing Director of Corporate Soul Ltd.
• Dr Richard Whitehead: Currently Head of Clinical Psychology for Rebuild, covering Learning Disability, Psychiatric Rehabilitation, Brain Injury and ‘Asperger Syndrome’ services, MerseyCare NHS Trust. Along with Dr Greenhill (below), has led the human rights team and agenda within Rebuild over the last four years. Lectures on doctoral courses in Clinical Psychology, acting as Course Convenor and honorary lecturer for the learning disability module at Liverpool University.
• Dr Beth Greenhill: Clinical Psychologist and Project Lead for the ‘Human Rights in Healthcare Project’ and Human Rights Lead within Rebuild, MerseyCare NHS Trust. Through the ‘Human Rights in Healthcare’ (HRIHC) programme, the Rebuild team have developed practical tools, applying a Human Rights Based Approaches (HRBA) in LD services, in collaboration with the British Institute of Human Rights and the Department of Health. She lectures variously on human rights, sexuality, and CAT and learning disability on courses including Liverpool, Manchester, Leicester, Southampton and Lancaster.
• Ms Jane Corbett MPhil, International leadership development consultant, speaker, tutor and facilitator. She specialises in leadership training and coaching people who want to lead change and innovation on climate change and sustainability in business, government and civil society organisations and in building capacity for innovation and collaboration from the global to the local scale. Currently a tutor at the Department for Continuing Education, University of Oxford and a Visiting Research Associate at the Open University.
• Dr. Bisong Guo, The founding director of the Shen Foundation, dedicated to global crisis management by promoting the Dao of balance and harmony for the benefit of humanity.
• Professor Li JI Xing, founder of the Applied Philosophical Balance Theory, is the director and researcher of Beijing University’s China Center for Balance Theory Research. He is also the Secretary-General of International Integrity Society, and the director of Beijing Wanshikai Cultural Exchange Center. In 2001, he was chosen as the UN Messenger for Peace and the representative on behalf of China to deliver a speech at the 22nd World Congress of Philosophy.

There will be an Exhibition and Poster Demonstration in show throughout the Congress to showcase Success Stories, Innovative Projects, New Thinking within the fields of Corporate Social Responsibility, Environmental Sustainability, Peace and Security, Human Rights, Health and Development.
